People Incorporated Mental Health Services is committed to integrity and accountability in all aspects of our work. Our Facilities Department assures the smooth operation of all People Incorporated sites, projects, construction, and safety. Our goal is to create a clean, safe, positive living and working environment for the clients and staff we serve. Facilities is charged with assett protection for over 60 programs throughout the metro area.  We are searching for an entry level Maintenance Worker to join our team!

The Facilities Technician will install and maintain electrical systems and fixtures, work with heating and cooling systems, plumbing, pipefitting, and carpentry at various buildings in support of People Incorporated client programming and asset management.  Some specific responsibilities are to:

  • Maintain accurate inventory supply logs and assist ordering, tracking and pricing materials and supplies
  • Develop preventative maintenance and physical inspection plans to ensure timely service takes place
  • Install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at programs i
  • Actively participate in meetings, workshops, trainings and seminars

The typical hours for the position will be Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience in HVAC, landscaping, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair and preventative maintenance of a variety of machines and equipment
  • Three years of experience working with project bids from external vendors, contractors and subcontractors
  • Current working knowledge of city, state, and county fire and building codes
  • Current and valid driver's license, auto insurance and a clean driving record


  • Five additional years of experience in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, landscaping, plumbing, carpentry, or general repair and preventative maintenance of a variety of machines and equipment


  • Technical degree in HVAC, Residential Wiring, Appliance Repair, Low Voltage Wiring, or Boiler operation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree  
  • Experience in a nonprofit work environment
