People Incorporated serves people with mental illness in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul metro area. In 2017, we reached 13,000 individuals through more than 60 different programs. Helping people with mental illness requires great flexibility and creativity. That's why we start with the person first...developing innovative, effective services that provide the care, resources, and connections that will help each person in the best way possible. Join us in our mission to support mental health and wellness in our community through collaboration and integration of care!

Our Mental Health Therapists in our School-Linked program work in schools to be part of the everyday life of the children we serve. We have visibility to their daily routines, and we collaborate and consult with student assistance teams to ensure our clients are connected to the supports that they need to be successful. We provide them with access to therapy in the school setting which reduces barriers to receiving services. Position responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with children, parents and other family members
  • Completing intake/diagnostic process and Diagnostic Evaluations
  • Creating and implementing treatment plans
  • Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans
  • Conducting individual therapy and, as needed, conducting family and group therapies
  • Collaborating and consulting with school staff regarding referrals and scheduling

Typical schedules for school-linked positions match school hours of operation. These positions will be full-time during the school year with reduced hours during the summer. All schools begin and end their days between 7:30am 5:00pm. Actual hours may vary depending upon the needs of families for family therapy.  We have both full-time and part-time positions available.

Required qualifications:

  • Current and valid licensure as LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC
  • Master's degree in behavior sciences
  • Previous experience with children, adolescents and families in a therapeutic arena

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with school systems and school personnel
  • Proven success collaborating on interdisciplinary teams

We offer a suite of comprehensive medical and dental benefits as well as competitive pay, paid time off and supervision toward professional licensure.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability, veterans or other status unrelated to job qualifications.
