Our Legal and Compliance team is responsible for providing legal, compliance, and government relations services to People Incorporated, including providing legal advice and assistance to the agency, overseeing the agency-wide compliance program, and communicating with a wide range of governmental stakeholders on issues of concern to the agency.  We are searching for a Legal and Compliance Assistant to become a part of the Legal and Compliance team.  This role will be responsible for providing triage, coordination, and documentation support to various compliance program activities; project coordination support for legal, compliance and government relations projects; and executive level administrative support to the General Counsel.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and receiving incoming communications to the legal and compliance mailbox and hotline and using discretion to escalate matters
  • Performing intake, logging and updating activities within various compliance processes
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and attending project meetings, acting as record keeper
  • Creating project schedules, including detailed task lists based on input from project members and project manager
  • Preparing routine and non-routine correspondence, reports and presentations
  • Scheduling and coordinating legislative and stakeholder meetings and advocacy efforts
  • Actively participating as a member of the Administrative Support team providing backup as needed

Required qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of accuracy in all activities
  • Exceptional sense of confidentiality and discretion


  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Four years of administrative experience


  • Associate's degree
  • Two years administrative experience


  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working within an organization's legal or compliance department
  • Experience as a project coordinator using Microsoft Project
