Join People Incorporated as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) on our ACT Team! The Youth ACT staff use an eclectic, person-centered approach with clients to build rapport and supply a solid, consistent presence in the participant's life. The ACT team services include case management, housing, therapy, transportation, psychiatry, pharmacology, group sessions (Illness Management and Recovery, Hearing Voices, and Mental Illness/Chemical Dependency) and crisis assistance.

The Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) collaborates with team members and the Clinical Supervisor to serve clients in the community. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the psychiatric treatment of clients including diagnostic assessments and prescribing psycho-pharmacological treatments
  • Assessing recipient responses to medication on a consistent, monthly basis
  • Meeting clients in the community and maintaining a flexible schedule
  • Completing diagnostic assessments and documentation within seven days of visit
  • Collaborating with team members by regularly participating in team meetings

Required qualifications:

  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with certification in psychiatry or mental health
  • Current license in good standing with the State of Minnesota
  • Able to independently prescribe medications with current DEA registration

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience in emergency, inpatient, or community psychiatry
