We have several opportunities for a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)!  The roles are as follows:

Youth ACT Team: The APRN for the Youth ACT Team will collaborate with team members and Clinical Supervisor to serve adolescents in the community for either two days a week or 16 hours/week spread over multiple days.  Our clients have many challenges that they are facing including a serious mental health disorder. 

Crisis Residences: Our Nancy Page Residence and Diane Ahrens residence are searching for an APRN to provide twenty hours of services per week.  The APRN would spend four days / five hours per day at two of our crisis residences.  This role would involve meeting with clients who are in a mental health crisis and consulting with staff members on their client's symptoms. 

Family Life Center: Our clinic in Coon Rapids is searching for a full-time APRN to join our team!  We serve both children and adults at this location.  We are a large clinic that includes many therapists, specialized therapy treatment options, consultation times and our on-site pharmacy is Genoa.  Clinic hours are Monday Thursday, 8:00am 8:00pm and Fridays 8:00am 5:00pm.  Part-time schedules are also available.

All Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) collaborate with team members and Clinical Supervisors to serve clients. Responsibilities may include:

  • Supervising the psychiatric treatment of clients including diagnostic assessments and prescribing psycho-pharmacological treatments
  • Assessing recipient responses to medication on a consistent
  • Meeting clients in a clinic or community environment and maintaining a flexible schedule
  • Completing diagnostic assessments and documentation within seven days of visit
  • Collaborating with team members by regularly participating in team meetings

Required qualifications:

  • Licensed as an APRN in Minnesota with certification in psychiatric or mental health
  • Current license in good standing with the State of Minnesota
  • Able to independently prescribe medications with current DEA registration

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience in emergency, inpatient, or community psychiatry
