This is a mobile position on the Youth ACT Team. The Youth ACT Team serves a total caseload of approximately 40-50 young people with severe and persistent mental illness. Our clients range in age from 16-20 years old.

We are searching for a Mental Health Practitioner III. This role provides mental health services and interventions in a recovery and rehabilitation focused environment and is a leader in representing the person-centered approach with an advanced level of clinical knowledge and understanding.  We support our clients in creating and realizing their individualized visions of wellness and independence.  Responsibilities include:

  • Developing positive relationships that support clients in meeting their goals
  • Engaging clients in their mental health recovery
  • Collaborating with clients to assess their needs and create treatment plans
  • Providing intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms
  • Documenting observable behaviors and symptoms
  • Participating with residents during in-house and community activities
  • Coaching residents on independent living skills and coping mechanisms
  • Safely administering medications and offering coaching on medication management

Required qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a behavior science or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, chemical dependency, developmental disabilities, and/or other health conditions that impact mental health
