This position will be a part of our newly launched Central Access Services team! This team is responsible for connecting consumers and community partners with our services.  Our goal is to ensure that we are able to engage people and help them navigate how to connect with services at People Incorporated in ways that are integrated and seamless. 

The person in this position will work very closely within our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) initiative! CCBHC are community clinics that offer comprehensive, coordinated and integrated care to children and adults with complex mental and chemical health conditions.  CCBHC will provide outreach, increase access, improve services, and serve as a "one-stop-shop" to those who are currently underserved with mental health and substance use disorders.

We are searching for a CCBHC Navigator!  This is an opportunity to create a positive and seamless service experience for people who are navigating our services by phone.  Responsibilities include:

  • First point of contact for incoming calls via the CCBHC phone line
  • Assessing consumer needs in the Preliminary Screening process
  • Responding to inquiries made by telephone, email and/or in-person and guiding them to the most appropriate programs
  • Connecting with services, and ensuring continuity of care among internal providers and between internal and external providers
  • Interacting with other team members to provide comprehensive and timely assistance in resolving issues that are barriers to the consumer receiving services
  • Providing direct assistance to consumers in making appointments and obtaining supports necessary to keep appointments
  • Provide oversight and management to ensure individuals are being referred to appropriate services
  • Developing close working relationships with internal and external referral resources
  • Supporting people as they learn how to access, qualify and establish services with People Incorporated
  • Effectively interacting and exhibiting behavior that is consistent with customer service and professional standards

This position will be located at our Administration Office. The schedule for this position is: Monday-Friday, normal business hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma / GED
  • Three years of experience providing services to people with mental illness


  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral science or a related field

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience providing services to people with mental illness
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
