We are searching for a Human Resources Director who is a dynamic, creative, visionary leader who will develop human resources strategies that are in alignment with the strategic mission, vision, core values and overall culture of the organizationThis role develops and leads the Human Resources team in the areas of organizational and performance management, succession planning, change management, and compensation and benefits by defining the vision for human resources and optimizing team performance.  Responsibilities are to: 

  • Develop a philosophy for managing the human resource function to reflect best practices in alignment with organizational mission.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Committee of the Board and the CFO to create and achieve strategic goals regarding human resources. Descends the goals and tactics within the HR Team and organization to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Serve as an advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team. Be a strategic advisor on human capital matters and their impact on organizational culture.
  • Lead the development of service-oriented Human Resources strategies and programs in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and the Human Resources Talent Manager to develop HR plans and strategies that ensure the organization has the talent, culture, and engaged workforce needed to achieve business objectives and support long-term strategy and goals.
  • Assess, inspire and develop an HR team to create an innovative HR function that supports the organization.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for HR performance management programs, and HR operations systems and policies, ensuring that they are current, competitive, within financial constraints, and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Work directly with Human Resources Business Partners and HR Operations staff in the creation and achievement of strategic goals and risk management for the organization. Drives projects to completion.
  • Oversee the development of the annual operating budget for the HR Department. Continuously reviews the organization cost of compensation and benefits as a percentage of net operating expenses.
  • Provide leadership, direction, evaluation and support to the HR Department to discover creative ways to deliver services, achieve economies of scale and incorporate best practices into the department operations. Works closely with staff to assist them in defining and achieving their operational and management goals and performance objectives.  Works with the CFO in providing strategic direction to the HR department.
  • Conduct duties in an unbiased manner in accordance with the agency's mission statement and guiding principles by which all program participants, volunteers, and staff are treated equally regardless of race, gender, religion, age, physical and mental abilities and/or sexual orientation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in management, human resources, or related area
  • Ten years of leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree 
  • Leadership experience in human resources in a human services company
  • SHRM-SCP / SHRM-CP / SPHR / PHR certification highly desired
